Bloom into Spring with a 7 day Ayurvedic Group Detox

A nourishing reset for digestion & energy levels
as we transition from Winter to Spring

A gentle detox - focused on giving your body what it NEEDS, rather than weight loss, restriction or control

7th March - 13th March

Spaces limited for an intimate and supportive experience

For 7 days we simplify your food and daily rhythm so your system can rest, digest, and find its natural balance again.

Instead of pushing your body harder, we focus on warmth, nourishment, community and gentle structure — the conditions your digestion and nervous system need to settle.

As your digestion becomes calmer, you’ll notice it’s easier to recognise real hunger, feel your body’s signals, and respond to them with trust instead of rules.

This week isn’t about becoming more disciplined, losing weight or control.

It’s about making life feel comfortable inside your body — so listening to yourself becomes natural again.

Benefits commonly noticed:

  • Digestion that feels calmer and more consistent

  • Steadier energy throughout the day

  • Reduction in severity of mild health problems

  • Fewer cravings and less mindless snacking

  • More awareness of what your body truly needs

  • Less heaviness, bloating, or sluggishness

  • Clearer thinking and a calmer mind

  • A greater sense of ease and enthusiasm for daily life

  • Better, more restorative sleep

  • A supportive community thats in it with you

It's not just a physical detox for the body, its also about...

Learning about your relationship with food

So often we eat not because we are hungry, but in response to challenging emotions. You are supported to explore this here.

Joining a tribe that gets it

Social support is essential for our health and nervous system regulation, which is why community and doing it in a group is a core part of this cleanse.

Gaining mental clarity

Everyone that takes part has reported a profound difference on their ability to remain calm and self-regulate.

If this is your first time doing a cleanse or detox, then this is the perfect introduction and completely suitable... this is Catherine, who had never done anything like this before and shared this reflection...

"This week I have felt so calm and regulated and like I have more space in my mind and in my days.

I usually wake up sluggish and hesistant to move but this week I've been awake early and content with starting the day.

I've only napped once during the day and I'm normally and afternoon snoozer!

It's been a really great experience mentally and physically and something that I feel has set me off on a good track for this year.

Thanks Lizzy and also the wonderful group of women for all the communication encouragement and support throughout the week."

About Lizzy & the Ayurvedic Approach

My favourite Ayurvedic saying is: “To be out of life is to be out of balance.” For so long, I was a health perfectionist, trying to perfectly manage every aspect of my wellbeing. But in reality, life itself is dynamic, and perfect balance isn’t possible—which is why practices like detoxing can be so helpful.

I’ve been doing regular cleanses since 2020. For many years, I began with strict water or dry fasts—but in 2023, the year I qualified as an Ayurvedic therapist, I shifted to a gentler approach. Ayurveda appealed to me because it emphasizes both detoxification and nourishment, allowing the body to reset without deprivation.

Now, after following Ayurvedic principles for several years, I feel stronger, more grounded, and more energized than ever. Kitchari and mung bean soup have become my change of season ritual: warm, grounding, and nourishing—a way to cleanse the stress of the previous season deeply while staying physically strong and supported.

I originally started fasting to manage IBS symptoms and recover from periods of intense stress while working full-time as a teacher. Today, fasting remains an integral part of my health routine and a way I manage my energy levels.

Fasting can be scary, but it needn’t be. Your body actually thrives when given periods to digest without taking in food, and once you experience the benefits, you’ll realise how integral it is to managing your health.

I am a holistic healing practitioner, trained as a therapist in Ayurveda, under the guidance of Dr Arun, at Ayuskama Ayurveda in Dharamshala, India. I am also a yoga teacher, and secondary school science teacher, with ten years experience, and if a gentle way of detox and healing appeals - I would love to support you. You can learn more about my work at www.bedderwellness.com.

Is this approach suitable for me?

This approach is suitable for most people.

Before completing it - you will complete a short health questionnaire - and Lizzy will contact you in case there is anything which needs to be adapted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a fast or will I be eating?

You will be eating. This is a nourishing kitchari mono-diet, not a water or juice fast.

Will I be hungry?

Most women report feeling surprisingly satisfied. You can eat until comfortably full.

Can I work and live normally during the fast?

Yes. The program is designed to fit into daily life. You may notice an energy dip in the first two days so you may want to minimise social activities. This is more likely to be noticed if you normally have a lot of caffeine and sugar, so reducing these slowly before you begin, can also help minimise any detox symptoms.

Can I do this fast if I am vegan?

Yes, this fast is suitable for vegans. You use coconut oil instead of ghee.

Is this a medical programme?

No. This is a wellness program based on traditional Ayurvedic principles. It does not replace medical care.

Am I exhausted and burned out, is it suitable for me?

Yes — the reset was created especially for those who feel tired, stressed or disconnected from their bodies.

What support will I receive?

You’ll have daily guidance and a private group space to ask questions to a qualified ayurvedic practitioner, and to share your experience.

Do I need experience with ayurveda?

No prior knowledge is needed. Everything is explained simply.

How do I know if this programme is right for me?

If you’re unsure, reach out before joining — I’m happy to discuss suitability with you. Please email me at lizzy@bedderwellness.com

What if I need to stop?

You are always in control, you can stop of modify the diet at any time in response to what you feel you need.
